Welcome to Room 8's blog for 2020. We are an energetic Year 1 class and our teacher is Miss White and Mrs Smith. We are looking forward to working together and learning lots of exciting and new things this year! Check our blog regularly to see what we have been up to. We would love to read your comments.
What a great idea to practise our EMPATHY GEM by being kind to each other. My daughter is helping me to cook our evening meal and my husband very kindly sorted my computer out for me yesterday when it wasn't working properly! In our house my daughter and I like jelly as a treat. We like to see how the crystals melt into the water and then later it has set into a wibbly wobbly shape!
Morena Ms White and Room 8. I loved listening to your morning video and hearing about how Room 8 children have been so helpful around home. Well done. I'm looking forward to tomorrow to hear about the kind things you have done for others. I can see how busy Jake has been doing his fabulous t-rex collage and story, plus out and about searching for birds. Wow!! Thanks for sharing.
Ooh chocolate chip cookies and ice cream sounds delicious. Showing kindness is very important. My parents who live with us, are being kind today, they are making all six of us dinner tonight. I can't wait to taste the yummy food they are making. I will have to do something kind for them too. They deserve to be spoilt! From Mrs Burge
Good morning Ms White, I love watching you, Ms White and reading your posts. Room 8 Gems, I love all of the creative and wonderful things that you have been doing while learning from home. You have been very busy and having lots of fun while learning. I have missed you all. Love Ms Helena Swan
Morning Ms White. We have been out walking a lot too around our area and we have seen so many Sunnyhills families doing the same. It is lovely to see familiar faces.
I went for a long early morning walk yesterday. Glad that you were able to get out in the fresh air. Your muffins sound delicious. What a fabulous challenge that you and Emerson are doing today.
Hi Miss White, Harper liked the sound of your empathy challenge today so made lunch for the whole family and then drew a picture of it :) we will email it through. Hope you have a lovely day!
Kia ora Miss White and Emmerson, Yes, the weather has been great for getting out to walk and bike. It is important for our well-being to get some exercise. I hope you and Emmerson have a lovely day being kind to each other and sharing empathy.
